Jane Nam is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Olive Leaf Family Therapy who specializes in relational repair, self-esteem, and family transitions. She works with children, parents and adult-child dyads, LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and clients across all kinds of recovery, with a particular passion for supporting populations that have been underserved in mental health care. Jane most enjoys helping neurodiverse families and relational systems build better communication and deeper understanding.
Jane cultivates a therapy practice steeped in empathy and oriented toward each client's growth and liberation. She draws on systemic models to expand perspectives, shift relational and behavioral patterns, and honor life's complexity, exploring how personal, familial, social, and institutional systems shape well-being while offering practical, life-enhancing tools for change. As a therapist, she sees herself as a collaborator and co-constructor, walking alongside clients as they release thoughts from the echo chamber of the mind, build sustainable change, and approach their lives with curiosity and self-compassion. Her hope is that clients feel witnessed, cared for, and joined on their journey.
In addition to a Master's degree in relational and family therapy, Jane has spent a lifetime working with children and families as a consultant, caregiver, and educator. She brings both academically informed and lived experience navigating complex family structures and dynamics, and holds specialized training in trauma-informed play therapy along with queer-affirming and size-inclusive care.
"You are worthy. No matter what you've done, or thought, or been through, you are deserving of a witness and ally. If the goal is change, you are welcome. If the goal is something else, or unclear, or nebulous, you are welcome here too. Therapy is for everyone."
