Jonathan Fontano is a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor at Olive Leaf Family Therapy who brings a person-centered, humanistic approach to his work with clients. He specializes in working with adolescents and young adults, supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, depression and PTSD, and stress management. Jonathan also has a heart for working with veterans and individuals navigating the transition from military to civilian life, drawing on his experience to meet clients with understanding as they move through identity development and major life changes.
His approach to therapy centers on creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. Jonathan believes deeply in each person's capacity for growth and self-discovery, and he works collaboratively to help clients build insight, confidence, and meaningful change. His hope is that, through their work together, clients progress toward their goals, navigate challenges with greater resilience, build lasting confidence, and create real change in their lives.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Clinical Therapy, and is also trained in Applied Behavior Analysis. He spent two years working with veterans in the homeless community, an experience that strengthened his ability to meet clients with both clinical skill and genuine compassion.
"I aim to create a space where people feel safe, comfortable, and truly understood, recognizing that we don't always have others we can talk to openly. From there, I hope clients build confidence, gain clarity, and make meaningful progress through the challenges they're facing."
