Kara Weaver Mills is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Olive Leaf Family Therapy who works with adults and couples navigating relationship challenges, emotional struggles, trauma, and life transitions with compassion and understanding. She specializes in relationship and attachment issues, trauma and nervous system healing, and spiritual or religious hurt and integration. Kara has a special interest in men's emotional health, attachment and relationship concerns, and faith integration that is client-led, welcoming individuals from diverse faith traditions, spiritual backgrounds, and belief systems with respect and inclusivity.

Kara believes meaningful change happens within the context of a safe, trusting, and authentic therapeutic relationship. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, recognizing that every person brings a unique story, strengths, and experiences into therapy. Her hope is that clients experience therapy as a supportive space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change, developing greater self-awareness, strengthening relationships, healing from past experiences, and building healthier patterns for navigating life's challenges.

Kara's clinical training includes specialized education in couples therapy through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Externship Training and Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, with a focus on strengthening connection, communication, and emotional bonds. She also holds a Certificate of Integration, allowing her to support clients who desire a thoughtful integration of faith, spirituality, and therapeutic healing.

"I hope clients leave therapy with a deeper understanding of themselves, greater compassion for their own story, and practical tools to create lasting change. Together we will work toward healing past wounds, improving relationships, strengthening emotional connection, and building a life that aligns with your values, goals, and sense of purpose."
