Lukie Broesel is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Olive Leaf Family Therapy who specializes in working with LGBTQ+ clients, teens, and expressive arts therapy. Lukie loves working with individual teens and adults, and especially enjoys supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community as they move toward their therapeutic goals. Lukie has experience helping clients manage anxiety (including OCD) and depression, process trauma and grief, adjust to life changes and stressors, identify and understand their emotions, and build self-esteem.

Lukie works collaboratively with clients, providing the tools and environment they need to reach their goals - holding the ladder steady while the client does the climbing. Lukie challenges clients while genuinely welcoming their feedback and input, working together toward each client's goals. Drawing from an eclectic theoretical base, Lukie tailors the approach to each client's goals and preferences, with the aim of establishing a safe, secure, and comfortable base for reflection, processing, and growth.

Lukie holds a BA in Psychology and an MS in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University, Fresno. Lukie has worked with individual adults, children, and teens, as well as couples, families, and groups, providing both in-person and telehealth services.

I aim to give every client agency in their therapeutic journey as we work together to identify those goals and the steps toward them. I hope to give my clients the tools they need, whether that be a plan of action, knowledge, skills, insight, or a safe place and time to reflect and process their thoughts and feelings with a listening ear."
