Urwah Yousuf is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Olive Leaf who brings authentic connection and deep understanding to her work with clients. She especially enjoys working with preteens and young adults on the autism spectrum, finding that she connects well with their unique ways of seeing the world, which helps foster a strong and meaningful therapeutic bond.

Her approach to therapy centers on building strong, authentic connections, focusing on understanding and respecting each client's unique perspective to meet them where they are and create a supportive environment. By valuing their way of experiencing the world, Urwah fosters trust and collaboration, which strengthens the therapeutic bond and makes growth more possible. She creates a space where clients feel genuinely seen and understood, helping them gain confidence in their own strengths, develop tools to manage challenges, and feel empowered to navigate relationships and daily life with greater ease.

Urwah holds a Master's degree in Family, Couples, and Child Counseling and has completed over 300 face-to-face client hours within the past year. Her experience includes working with diverse clients and cases, such as families navigating reunification, as well as teenagers and adults with autism, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, and depression, enriching her ability to meet clients with both specialized knowledge and genuine empathy.

"I chose this profession because I once sat in the client's seat, feeling misunderstood by therapists who hadn't encountered my experiences. Over the past year, hearing clients thank me for making them feel seen and understood has confirmed that I'm on the right path. My hope is that clients continue to feel empowered and accepted by having a therapist who truly sees them without judgment."
